Help! I'm Addicted to Chocolate - Confessions of a Chocolate Addict

O.K. – I will be the first to admit it, I am addicted to chocolate. Yes, I am absolutely powerless over chocolate. I mean, here it is 11:00 at night and I just scarffed down a couple of chocolate Ho-Ho's and chased them with some nice cold milk. Mmm Mmm. What was I thinking? It's not as if I didn't have enough to eat today. I already had some apple pie and hot chocolate earlier this evening!
Yep, when it comes to chocolate I have an uncontrollable urge to splurge. Chocolate donuts, chocolate pudding, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cereal, chocolate kisses, chocolate milk, chocolate shakes, chocolate chip cookies… Oh, my goodness, I am drooling just thinking about it.

I love chocolate so much that I dream about it. I don't just see the chocolate in my dreams; I can smell it and taste it. Not just at night, mind you, I daydream about chocolate all day long. I picture it dancing on my computer monitor when I am working. I hear chocolate songs in my head. Yes, I'm Coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs. And my mind just snap, crackles and pops for Cocoa Crispies. And how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Two - Believe me I know!

I can hardly wait for my secret chocolate treat. Because when it comes to chocolate, there is no other taste in the world that compares to it. Nothing! And there is no arguing the point.

Now, that is where you come in, my friend. Maybe you're a chocolate addict too! As I said in the title to this article, Help! I'm Addicted to Chocolate - so, I need your help and this is what I need you to do… I need a support team. You can help support my chocolate addiction by sending me YOUR chocolate! That's right. I will accept it in any size, shape or weight. Think of it as a donation for a good cause. Don't worry about it going to waste, it won't! Because this kind of misery loves company. Yep, I enjoy those little M&M guys dancing around and singing while I pluck them into my mouth. Hoooeeey. Yum!

All inquiries on how YOU can support this important cause will receive a reply.

Hi Jim,

Oh, I know. I have had my struggles with some of those too, in the past. I think chocolate is probably the better of the evils.

Thanks for your comments.

Now I know where all the chocolate is going! We need to talk. After all this time I thought it was the teenagers.

Love you,

Dear Mark, I agree with your love for chocolate. This may sound crazy, but we have found "healthy" chocolate that is "good" for you. There is even a way to get it "free."

Just reply to this comment and we'll send you a link so you can check it out for yourself.

If I remember right the last time I sent chocolate to your house something was said about trying to kill my daughter or something like that. No more chocolate for you. Entertaining piece. Linda D

Hi Linda,

GREAT! I believe someone (me) was going to send her to Jesus ahead of schedule for a piece of chocolate... Thanks again for the chocolate. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hi Mark.

Just try to get chocolate away from my husband. He's right there with you. A day without chocolate is incomplete. I, on the other hand, had to give it up (and it was haaard let me tell you) because it gives me migraine headaches. Chocolate, as wonderful as it is, just isn't worth that.

Loved your article.

Happy Chocolatiness,
Dianne

My friend, who thinks she is a chocoholic doesn't like dark chocolate - imagine that - she is not a REAL chocoholic.... another gal asked me at work if it wasn't too early for chocolate (my goodness, it was already close to 9 AM - what was the matter with her....??) AND dark chocolate even has a low glycemic index score - so a little bit is even ok for those who are diabetic or glucose intolerant.... GOOD piece - chuckling all the way. Marijo

Hi Marijo,

Thanks for your comments. 9:00 is definitely not too early for chocolate.

Chocolate - yes! Good whenever! It's a proven fact that it's even good for you.

Hi OGM,

Yes... it IS good for you. Good for the heart. They say it has a molecular structure similar to the hormones that make people feel "in love". Hey... maybe that's why I love it so much!
