Find Out Who's Googling You at Ziggs

Well the latest buzz on the Internet is all about Ziggs. It's a social networking community th
at has the technology to allow you to find out who has been googling you. No doubt the information will be useful to millions of people for various reasons. The most obvious reason of course is that if people are googling your business you may have an opportunity to contact them to follow up on their inquiry. Although this technology has been praised by some who are claiming it has helped their businesses, not everyone is in business.

A more interesting application of this technology, as far as I am concerned, is the ability for ordinary individuals to be able to just check up on who has been checking up on them! After all, who wouldn't be interested to find out that a long lost relative has been searching for them to let them know that they have an inheritance coming their way?

On the other hand there are some individuals that snoop where they probably shouldn't be snooping. This will probably raise all kinds of questions up for attorneys to squabble over for years. For example, if you have a stay-away order and you are googled by the person on the order have they violated your privacy? Can googling be considered a form of stalking? And what about those unwanted credit agency inquiries or other questionable marketing scams?

Perhaps a bigger question is if you are checking up on who is checking up on you, are you violating their privacy?  What if you try to contact them? Is that spam? Is there going to be Google search spam next? Unauthorized inquiries on a google search? Hmmm

I had attempted to go to the Ziggs website today to try out their technology, but the system was down because everybody else on the Internet is trying to find out the same information. Maybe they were all trying to check up on me. Maybe they were trying to check up on you. Or, maybe this is the beginning of the newest Internet craze. You decide.

Hi Mark.

I hadn't heard of this. It's kind of crazy, really. And your "Catch 22" at the end seems like a real possibility. Still, I'm curious now.

Thanks,

Dianne

Good to hear from you, Dianne. Hey, I checked out your website. You offer some pretty nice jewelry. I will probably be emailing you about it at some time. Have a great day. Oh yeah, thanks for your comments.

No, no, no..The ziggs site only offers a tracking of who visits you on the ziggs website. Myspace and facebook have had these tracking devices for atleast a year and a half. They even have them posted onto their sites as world maps.

I was wondering about that. It doesn't seem like Ziggs is really offering anything all that special then does it?
