I am fortunate enough to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world. Now, I know that some people might argue that point with me. But, it doesn't matter. Yes, even my wife herself might argue the point. But, that is part of her beauty.

You see, there are many reasons why I know that my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world. So, allow me to share some of them with you. Please be aware, that the following reasons are not listed in order of importance.

My wife is the most beautiful woman in the world because

1. She is mine. Out of all of the men in the world she chose to freely give her love and devotion to me. And, since I love her back that means all of the other women pale in comparison.

2. She is smart. There is something about a smart woman that is attractive and very beautiful.

3. She is strong. My wife has been told since before she was even born that she would never make it. She has faced death many times. Yet, despite this, she has an inner strength that allows her to overcome the infirmities in her life and the proclamations of doctors and skeptics. This is a quality of beauty that is immeasurable.

4. She is funny. My wife has a boundless sense of humor. She is witty and impishly mischievous. She not only loves to laugh but loves to make others laugh as well. Oh, the beauty of laughter!

5. She is self-sacrificing. There is something extraordinarily beautiful about a person that will put aside their own gain, recognition and fame so that others may receive the encouragement, acknowledgment and validation that they need. That's my wife! Seldom is there a beauty greater than this.

6. She loves Jesus. My wife's love for the Lord is probably her greatest and most beautiful quality. It is His Spirit within her that fills her with life and love and light that has transformed her into the beautiful angel she is today.

In considering the beauty of my wife, I have discovered a great biblical secret. When Proverbs was written almost 3,000 years ago the author peered down through the ages so that he could give a prophetic description of my wife. And this is what he said about her in Proverbs 31

10 [c] A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

11 Her husband has full confidence in her

and lacks nothing of value.

12 She brings him good, not harm,

all the days of her life.

13 She selects wool and flax

and works with eager hands.

14 She is like the merchant ships,

bringing her food from afar.

15 She gets up while it is still dark;

she provides food for her family

and portions for her servant girls.

16 She considers a field and buys it;

out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17 She sets about her work vigorously;

her arms are strong for her tasks.

18 She sees that her trading is profitable,

and her lamp does not go out at night.

19 In her hand she holds the distaff

and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

20 She opens her arms to the poor

and extends her hands to the needy.

21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;

for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

22 She makes coverings for her bed;

she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,

where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

24 She makes linen garments and sells them,

and supplies the merchants with sashes.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;

she can laugh at the days to come.

26 She speaks with wisdom,

and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

27 She watches over the affairs of her household

and does not eat the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise and call her blessed;

her husband also, and he praises her:

29 "Many women do noble things,

but you surpass them all."

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;

but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

31 Give her the reward she has earned,

and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Oh, and I almost forgot... my wife is very, very pretty! She is beautiful.

Yes, my friends, I am convinced that my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world! Below is her pic

I Will not argue with a single thing you wrote. I know your better half and I see what you see. She is definitely a "ten cow wife". Good article and very well written.

Well, I don't know how she'll feel about the cows. But, I'm sure she will settle for a double cheese burger plan from McDonalds. Good to hear from you, Jeff.

I don't know what to say except I love you!!! I fall so short, but if I could be a Proverbs 31 wife, I would and you deserve it. I love you and I am blessed that God put us together.

Mark, it seems we have two major things in common.  We both love Jesus Christ and we both love THIS woman!  Her beauty shines even through the screen and I can personally tesitfy to that.  Blessed is the man who "found" her, in deed!

Thank you very much, Christine! I wish I could say that I found her, but I have to admit she was a gift from God. So, she is indeed a real blessing to me from the Lord. I hardly deserve her. Thank you for your kind words and for your fantastic articles!

How can I overcome the urge to COMPARE my wife with other beautiful women I see everyday? I agree that my wife too has all the beautiful qualities but damn it ......this urge to compare and the desire to have other beautiful women with me is disturbing my soul. Please help me out. By George

Hi George,

Sometimes when other women "pop" into the picture. I take a look and shake my head and say, "Good job God." When I put things into perspective He allows me to focus on my wife and the gift He has given me.

thanks for the tip, although it may not be easy. To take the "perspectives" into account and then focus is the hard job.
