Five Reasons Not To Vote for John McCain

The prospect of electing John McCain as the next President of the United States scares the liv
ing daylights out of me. And it should concern you also. Here are five quick reasons why I will not be voting for John McCain in the upcoming elections:

1.  John McCain is a War Hawk. He is a product of the military industrial complex. His father was an Admiral in the Navy and Senator McCain spent an entire career in the military. John McCain has been quoted as saying, "Bomb, bomb, bomb... bomb, bomb Iran" to the tune of "Barbara Ann". He has also indicated that we would probably be in Iraq for another "50 to 100 years!" Hello? What has this man been smoking? I fear that if he were to be elected President we would find ourselves entangled in needless battles at the expense of the lives of thousands of young American men and women, and billions of dollars in tax payers' money.

Incidentally, the meaning of the name "McCain" can be interpreted to mean "The son of Cain." Remember Cain in the Bible? He murdered his brother!

2.   John McCain has no grasp of the economic plight of average Americans. He staunchly adheres to the failed economic policies of President Bush. Senator McCain was recently quoted as saying, "I think we (Americans) are better off now than we were four years ago." Well, what do you expect from somebody who has millions? McCain cannot comprehend the financial hardships that millions of Americans are suffering. He has lived a privileged life and cannot identify with the challenges faced by millions of economically challenged Americans.

3. John McCain may suffer from dementia. By way of example he has repeatedly referred to the country and officials of Czechoslovakia, which  no longer exists. It is the Czech Republic. He has referred to Putin (the former President of Russia) as the president of Germany! Do you want a President that insults or embarrasses foreign nations? Do you want a President that is or can become senile while he is in office? I don't!

4. John McCain's experience does not qualify him for President. Not all experience is good experience. Napoleon was an experienced soldier and politician, but he dragged all of Europe into one of the bloodiest wars of history. Hitler also was an experienced soldier and politician, and he plunged the entire world into World War II, the worst war in history. We say that a woman who has a lot of sexual experience is a whore or a prostitute. Why then is so called political experience such a good thing? Seasoned politicians have a tendency to get stuck in paradigms and solutions that are obsolete.

5. John McCain is too old to be elected President. A vote for John McCain is actually a vote for his Vice Presidential running mate. The statistics are not promising for McCain to live through a four year term in office, sane or not, under all of the pressure of the executive office.

I realize that my position and the points I raised are very controversial. I invite your comments and opinions on this article.
