So long ago that day
How I knew you were
mine
As we walked and we talked
And Daddy promised
He would NEVER
Go away
So long ago that day
Our friends at the zoo
We gave them names
And Daddy said,
He would NEVER
Let a lion or bear
Or ANYTHING
Hurt you
So long ago that day
We laughed and we played
We danced and we sang
And when you were afraid
Daddy held you
And he prayed
That he would NEVER
Let you go
Now... how I cry
And the torrents
Could NEVER
Fill the sea
Between.... us.
Where have you gone
My child?
What creature
Has captured you?
WHO HAS TAKEN YOU AWAY?
